This is the message I needed to hear today. Normally I am very productive on the weekends and wake up early and do all the things. Today I slept in, watched some Netflix, laid out in the sun and read a book and slept. I felt a little guilty about my lack of productivity but then I reminded myself that life is about balance and I deserve restorative days. What kinds of things do you do to take care of yourself and rest?

This has been a process for me! I feel like I totally lost this 'ability' to fully relax and rejuvenate when I became a mother :) What I reclaimed was baths, going to bed early and sometimes watching a movie with my kids that does not require me to actually think! My tendency is to try to make my relaxation as productive as possible, so it really does take concious intention to let it all go and truly relax, sound familiar to anyone? 😉

Today just sucked all the way around so I escaped and took a 3 hour nap 🤷🏼‍♀️ I love my bath time at night. Soak in some Himalayan salt water, light one of my chakra candles, dim the lights and turn on some healing, relaxing music. Really helps ground me from the chaos of the day. This is probably the most consistent thing I do for relaxing.

This is a great reminder! I'm all about the mani/pedi too! Usually I do it myself, partially because of cost, and now that I'm typing this I also do it myself to feel productive 😬 Oops!
