Moving through the holidays-Our emotions are literary stored in our gut. When we get a shot of fear that we aren’t living up to our expectations of ourselves and others (especially during the holidays) it is stored in the gut. Research shows that neurochemicals abound in our upper intestines from these reactions. We start to contain physically and mentally. We can become overwhelmed, anxious or frustrated and can reach for all the lovely treats that are prevalent at this time of the year to calm us, filling up our container even more.
