Does anyone else feel like winter is creeping in? Like seriously wanting to go into hibernation. Struggling to get out of bed. Any tips on getting out of this funk?

@Sarah yes to the Yin! ❣️ I always sleep so well after those classes. I find that I'm sleeping more soundly and hitting the snooze button...but I can only afford to do that once. Having a winding down routine for myself helps....even if it's 2 minutes of reading or listening to a talk.

Like @stacyworley I go to bed earlier. I also take a little more time for myself & I love taking a hot bath with essential oils. I’ll usually do this in both the mornings & evenings. I like to use lavender in the evenings and something more energizing in the mornings.

@stacyworley thank you! Those tips give me a great direction to start in. It's hard getting to bed early as I feel like I have so many things to do. It's difficult to comprehend that I don't have as much energy as I did in the summer. I suppose the Yin yoga class I'm going to start with @aimee is a good idea?

@Sarah The longer nights can be rough as the weight of winter descends on us. Letting ourselves be less active can feel like we are sinking into despair. I have allowed myself an earlier bedtime to get a longer sleep without giving up my morning routine. Instead of a lot of vigorous movement during the winter I have included more journaling and a more contemplative yoga (hip openers and forward folds) Asana practice. Let the hibernation be restorative instead of stressful. Hope this helps. ❤️
